Services include a 25-bed hospital in Aitkin offering the privacy of all single occupancy rooms; three primary care clinics and full-service retail pharmacies in Aitkin, Garrison, and McGregor; and a comprehensive specialty clinic offering care from more than 40 physicians, surgeons and clinicians.

The Minnesota Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIMIS) at Riverwood Healthcare Center boasts a team of highly skilled and experienced surgeons, skilled in robotic-assisted surgery. The hospital’s newly expanded surgery wing (opening in August 2024) includes a hybrid operating room with high-tech x-ray imaging equipment. With full digitally integrated technology, the surgeon will be able to visualize and process images and data from the various specialty instruments, physiologic monitors, cameras, ultrasound, and x-ray simultaneously on one large customizable high-definition monitor.

Emergency care services include medical airlift service with an on-site helipad. Designations for the hospital include Level III Trauma Center, Comprehensive Advanced Life Support Hospital, Stroke Ready Hospital, and Top 100 Critical Access Hospital.
